This is Coach Chip Walker’s second year at Newnan High School. Coach Walker coached at Sandy Creek High School from 1999 to 2016. With his 12 year tenure as head coach, he led the Fighting Patriots to the playoffs 12 years in a row, won 6 Region Championships, and 3 State Championships. 
 
Coach Walker graduated from Stephens County High School in Toccoa, GA in 1990. He received his B.A. in Business Administration from Tusculum College in 1994. From there, he went on to earn his M.Ed. in History from Converse College in 1996 and his Ed.S. in Leadership from Lincoln Memorial in 2004.
 
Coach Chip Walker is married to Meaghan Walker, who works at the Chick-fil-A Corporate Office. Coach Walker has three children, Trey Walker, Bryant Walker, and Marlowe Walker. He and his family are excited about being a part of the Newnan community. Go Cougars!
